CREPPO |
|
Who knows what inspiration the ancestor had to call "Creppo" that lean, tidy, group of houses, leaned on a steep cliff; the view of the small village , it doesn’t only provoke poetic feelings but a constructive admiration.
A steep road takes to the church square, restored in 1984, where you can enjoy a superb view: on the left hand side the farm-houses of Garbotina, in front the Bruzzi’s houses, and further down the antique Roman bridge. On the right hand side of Drondo’s house, there is the Rio (stream) Infernetto. The church, is small but fresh and homely, and the statue of the young lady goes in procession on the 8th of September, to celebrate the patronal Feast. In that occasion and during the summer months the village gets repopulated. And it’s really enjoyable in the night find oneself sitting on the slabs slate, talking and stay up late. |
