BREGALLA

The white church of the centre of Bregalla, which is situated not far from Loreto and Poggio Ventusu, gives the name to the entire place.

Back in time here, "bregallavano", it means bleated herds of sheep and goats; and lands that were given to the families of Triora were rich of wheat and vineyards. A fire happened few years ago which emphasized man’s work to repair all the environment.

The residential complex built up around Bregalla has really strange name like: "case Franchetti, "case Speriti", "case della Gumba", "case del Bertoldo", "case Morlano", and "case Castagna", all these names given from funny stories.

Today in the village of Bregalla there is not more growth, excepted some back-garden, and vegetable fields, potatoes and some fruit plants.

It’s very nice going around the old mule-track, getting from Creppo, looking in Poggio Grosso to get same rare mushrooms. You can spend lovely and relaxing moments in those stone houses, where it’s possible to find an original wash-house. And it’s interesting participate to wild bore-hunting.

During the Christmas time a pretty myriad of lights draw a massive Christmas Crib, every year will be organize a sumptuous feasts.
